The power of two words

It’s asante in Swahili, arigatou in Japanese, hvala in Croatian, tak in Danish, Mahalo in Hawaiian. Around the world, for centuries, people have found words to express gratitude. In English, it’s two powerful words: thank you. Digging into the world of Old English, the main meaning of the noun ‘thank’ was ‘a thought’.

With the flurry of the holiday season behind us and 2024 pundit predictions in place, we are pausing to share our thoughts. We are grateful:

  • For your discovering our workshops whether as a date night, a family adventure, celebrating a birthday, getting friends together, a corporate teambuilding event, or a solo escape to explore glassblowing.
  • For your purchase of pieces created at fascapple glass. Each work reflects the sweat, soul and skill of Hayden and our team. We take what moves from our hands to yours, personally.
  • For your appreciation of the beauty of glass in its various forms. Never underestimate the value of your feedback. Artists like Hayden are working with a medium where the creative process is never exactly the same and no piece exactly like the other. We welcome visitors to the studio whether for purpose or simply for the pleasure of seeing what’s new.
  • For your choosing fascapple glass studio as a place to pursue your passion for creating with hot glass. Whether you’re an artist with experience spanning decades or an earlier stage student, we value you working here.
  • For our neighbours who lend forklifts and photocopiers, business insights and moral support.
  • For the help of our great suppliers who help keep things running.

From all of us at fascapple glass: Thank you!
